Do you want to work with metal, but are not sure what suits you best? A traineeship at Kersten will introduce you to different techniques.
Many people know they want to work in metal technology, but are not yet sure what suits them best. To this end, Kersten has developed a training programme in which you can join various processes and be trained over a few months. During the trainee trajectory, experiences are constantly evaluated. In the meantime, you will receive an excellent salary with good terms of employment.
Important elements of this programme
- Theoretical Training:
- Basic principles of construction and engineering.

Goals of the programme
- Skills development: Ensure trainees master all necessary technical skills.

Duration of the programme
The duration of a trainee programme is 15 weeks with 3 weeks of training in each of the following workplaces:
-General construction as sawing, drilling grinding, assembling
- Plate rolls
- Profile rolls
- Cutting machine
- Submerged arc welding
- Robotic welding & cutting
- Aluminium machining (bending, sawing, milling)

Future career opportunities
Upon completion of the programme, trainees can progress further into positions such as construction worker, welder, roller, cutter, etc.
