Traineeship in metal working: a flying start to your technical career!

Are you interested in working in the world of metal technology, but don't yet know exactly what you like or where your talent lies? Then the traineeship at Kersten is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in various techniques and discover what you are really good at!

Many people know they want to go into engineering, but choosing what suits them best is still quite difficult. That is why Kersten has developed a challenging training programme that will give you the opportunity to experience different processes up close in just a few months. During your traineeship, you will receive daily supervision, valuable feedback and start to master the technology. 

And all this while you can count on an excellent salary and excellent terms of employment!

After a successful and enthusiastic completion of the traineeship, at the end of 15 weeks you will be given the opportunity to continue working at Kersten and to develop further.

What can you expect?

The traineeship lasts 15 weeks, during each of which you will actively participate in different workplaces for 3 weeks:

• General construction (sawing, drilling, grinding, assembly)
• Plate rolling
• Profile rollers
• Cutting machines
• Submerged arc welding
• Robotic welding & cutting
• Aluminium machining (bending, sawing, milling)

And what comes next?
After completing the programme, the doors to various technical jobs are open to you, such as:

• Construction worker
• Welder
• Roller
• Metal cutter
• ...and many more!
