Offshore welding qualifications
Offshore platforms and wind turbines are getting bigger and bigger. The use of steel makes it possible to install these huge structures at sea.
Kersten produces welded sub-assemblies for offshore foundation structures. Strict requirements are imposed on the welds.
Kersten is certified to weld according to the most current and stringent standards used in offshore construction, including EN1090 (Exc.4), EN-ISO 3834-2, DIN18.800, Norsok, ASME, EN15614-1, EMUA, DNV, etc.
The welds of our offshore sub-assemblies are independently inspected. The standards prescribe whether the welds are visual tested, magnetic, ultrasonic and/or X-ray tested.
