Kersten invests in factory of the future

Kersten announces extensive investment, taking another big step towards the future. Besides the new construction site in the United Arab Emirates, the focus is on modernising and optimising the Dutch site in Wanssum.

As an international player with production sites in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and the United Arab Emirates, Kersten Group is a leading name in the field of bent steel and aluminium structures. This investment will centralise all Dutch business activities at one joint production site, which will be significantly upgraded, made more sustainable and modernised. This strategic investment is in line with the company's ambition to be a global leader in bending technology.

Mike Minten, CEO of Kersten Group, explains the plans: "Our ambition is clear: we aim to become the world's most efficient and dynamic company in bending technology. The new facility in the Middle East is an important milestone, but we will also make fundamental improvements in Wanssum. By bringing our Dutch operations together in one location and redesigning the production facilities, we will realise an optimal workflow."

Upgrading and modernisation of the production halls have now started. Investments are being made in additional new cranes, machine updates and cutting capacity expansions. There will also be a new sustainable office with spacious, bright workplaces, as well as modern meeting facilities and a large multifunctional canteen where all employees will gather .

"This move is not only important for the efficiency of our processes, “ adds Minten, ”but also gives us the opportunity to create an inspiring and sustainable working environment ready for tomorrow's challenges. By bringing departments together in one location, we encourage cooperation and innovation, making our business operations even stronger. There is also room for further expansion, so that our building can grow along with future ambitions and developments. This forms a solid foundation for sustainable growth and success."

The move is planned for the end of 2025. Until then, Kersten can be reached at the familiar address as you are used to.
