Installation IJburg Bridge 2060 (Annemie Wolffburg), Amsterdam
Impressive, it certainly was! Bridge 2060 (Annemie Wolff Bridge) was recently installed at Ijburg as a connection between Haveneiland and Centrumeiland.
Kersten is proud to have contributed to this beautiful structure.
What did we do for this project?
We produced the curved parts of the steel structure. For this, we bent 240 tubes 610x40mm in radii ranging from 16162mm and 80797mm. Because of the large tube size and radius, induction bending technology was chosen. This involves heating the tube locally before bending it.
Once bent, the tubes were cut to size, beveled and transported to our client Iemants where the parts were assembled.
Kersten also produced bent structural parts for bridge 2080. This will be installed later this year.
