Roof rafters

Kersten manufactures curved roof rafters for oil storage tanks.

The roof of an oil storage tank is made of a steel structure of bent profiles. 

For large spans, IPE profiles are bent over the strong axis. The profile dimension depends on the tank diameter. For example IPE360, 400 or 450mm. Our engineers are happy to advise you on this.

We bend the profiles to the right radius, cut them to size and fit them with flanges with which the beams can be attached to the tank walls.

The roof construction is transported to the terminal in transportable parts. Once there, they can be built in immediately.
